Poster presentation instructions

In addition to your written paper which will be included in the conference proceedings, authors selected for a poster presentation will be asked to produce a poster for display in the poster area of the conference platform at the conference.

At the conference there will be specific poster sessions where you will get a chance to present your poster for two minutes followed by questions from the audience. Each poster presenter will have to create a power point presentation with two slides, one slide for the title and one slide to summarise your paper.

Organised poster sessions will take place in parallel to the other session as per the programme

Your poster display

You should clearly display the following information on your poster:

  • The title of your paper
  • The authors’ names and their affiliations
  • Your usual contact details (e.g. an email address) to allow delegates to follow up discussion

Your poster power point presentation

You should include the following:

  • The title of your paper, authors names and affiliation on slide one
  • Summary of your poster on slide two

Useful tips

  • Your poster should consist chiefly of keywords, diagrams, photographs, etc.
  • Diagrams and graphs should have clear captions
  • All text should be easy to read
  • Use colour to emphasise important features
  • All graphs and diagrams should be drawn with thick lines (preferably 1mm or more in width)
  • Handwritten text or diagrams are not recommended

Remember…

  • The poster should be visually appealing and should contain the essence of your paper in a form that is easy to understand
  • Try to attract the registrants to your poster. Unless they come to it, you cannot expect to have a discussion with them
  • The poster can contain visuals that were not present in your paper
  • The poster display is important. You are recommended to take as much care with it as you did in preparing your written paper.

Poster sessions will take place as follows

Tuesday, 21 September 2021

  • Session 3 and Session 4

Wednesday, 22 September 2021

  • Session 2 and Session 6

Thursday, 23 September 2021
